LG secara resmi telah memperkenalkan Optimus Pad. LG Optimus Pad merupakan sebuah perangkat tablet pertama yang memiliki fitur sebagai pemutar video 3D.
LG Optimus Pad, hadir dengan layar berukuran 8.9 inci 15:9 widescreen WXGA (1280×468 piksel). Dengan ukuran tersebut, pihak LG mengklaim akan menjadikan LG Optimus Pad terasa lebih nyaman ketika digunakan dengan satu tangan.
LG Optimus Pad yang di beberapa negara dikenal sebagai G-Slate ini menggunakan sistem operasi Android terbaru 3.0 alias Honeycomb, dengan didukung dengan prosesor berbasis dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2.
Harga LG Optimus Pad di Jerman, sekitar 999 Euro atau Rp12,2 juta-an. Harga tersebut terbilang cukup tinggi, jika menjadi pesaing utama dari iPad dan Galaxy Tab. Tapi jika dilihat dari spesifikasi dan fitur yang disuguhkan, LG Optimus Pad ini bukan tandingan iPad dan Galaxy Tab.
